About Pavlina

Pavlina Bechrakis

Born in Greece and raised in a family of artists, Pavlina is a contemporary painter whose work moves fluidly between abstraction and figuration.

Working primarily with oils and acrylics, their practice explores the emotional and psychological layers of modern society—touching on themes such as identity, digital culture, urban life, and the complexities of human connection.

Their approach is both intuitive and conceptual, blending expressive brushwork with structured forms to create visually charged narratives. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, memory, and the collective subconscious, Pavlina uses color, texture, and symbolism to provoke reflection and dialogue.

As the founder of I AM ART Athens, a multidisciplinary studio space and creative hub,Pavlina is deeply engaged in fostering artistic community and collaboration. Their studio not only serves as a base for their evolving practice, but also as a platform for experimental projects, exhibitions, and workshops.

With a background rooted in both tradition and innovation, Pavlina continues to develop a distinct voice in the contemporary art scene—one that is unafraid to question, disrupt, and reveal the layered realities of our times.
